Lefty's Chick-N-Chops

Another favorite fastfood chain that hubby and I love is the Lefty's Chick-N-Chops located along J.R. Borja Extension. They are famously known for their extra hot buffalo wings. You can choose hot, extra hot or wild flavor for your buffalo wings.

We love the Lefty's Original in Extra hot flavor paired with super cheese dip as well as their sizzling salisbury steak with rice.

This is how the place looked like:

So here's my review:
The Taste
If you're a spicy lover, you'll love the wild flavor.

Value for Money
The buffalo wings is quite expensive but the serving is adequate.

Will I dine here again?
Yes definitely.

Chino's Deli - Flat Iron Burger

I have been craving for Chino Deli's Flat Iron burger for a few weeks now and wouldn't miss a week without it.

The burger is just so delicious especially when paired with one of their newest drink - kombucha.

The flat iron burger costs Php150 each and is big as the burgers you eat at Army Navy.

The burger comes with a few sidings of french fries along with a garlic dip.

Pair the burger with kombucha and you're all set for this meal!

And so here's my review:
The Taste
It's delicious.

Value for Money
Not too cheap but not too expensive - just right within the budget. Not bad for a Php150.

Will I dine here again?
Yes, definitely. We've been dining here every week for the past 3 weeks.

Bucket O' Shrimps and more

If you are fond of seafood, then here's another restaurant that you might want to try out - Bucket O' Shrimps and More. Bucket O' Shrimps recently opened last November 6 and is located at Jr. Borja Extension, just in front of Capistrano Complex. They open daily from 10:30am - 2:00pm and 4:30pm - 10:00pm.

This is how the place looked like when we went there this afternoon. We were the first customer to arrive actually. We did that on purpose as we wanted to avoid the large crowd and of course, the long wait. As we all know, Kagayanons always line up for newly opened restaurants so if you get there during peak hours, then it would be hard to find a table to dine.

The restaurant have a freedom wall for their customers just like ones at Redtail Shrimps and more. I get a feeling that the two restaurants are related since everything is almost the same - from the restaurant name, the menu, the freedom wall and etc. If you ask me if they are of the same owner, that I don't know for sure.

Here's the menu:

And so we ordered the Bucket of Shrimps in Captains Favourite flavor (Medium Spicy), 2 unlimited rice and 1 liter of House Blend Ice Tea.

Complimentary ice tea were given to customers who dined on the 2nd week from the start of their opening. Drinks are in mason jars like the one on the photo below. Cool!

Our orders came but unfortunately they served Captain's Choice instead of a Bucket of Shrimps. We told the lady of the issue but she explained that guy who took our order indicated Captain's Choice instead of shrimps. She apologized and explained that she will be adjusting their music volume as probably that's the reason why the guy did not hear us properly when we ordered. So since she apologized,  I expected that she'll go ahead and give us our original order but when I asked her how much time it would take for our order to be served, she asked me if I was going to get an additional order. say what? ugh! disappointing first impression!

Hubby was already pissed off and hungry at the same time so we did not argue any further. We just heard mass and we didn't want our good vibes ruined for the day. Captains Choice didn't looked bad really, it was even enticing but it's just that our expectations were set to eat shrimps. So we couldn't help but get disappointed. The lady was very apologetic though and tried to make amends by providing polite customer service.

Our total bill was Php561. And this was the aftermath:

Hand towels were also given to customers which I think is no longer needed since they already have a wash area and a hand dryer.

And so here's our verdict:

The taste
Captains Favourite flavor was delicious. It tastes sweet and has a mix of butter and coconut milk. We ordered Medium Spicy but it was not spicy at all. It could be that guy who took our order again did not hear that we said "medium spicy".

Value for Money
Not bad if you're craving for seafood and didn't have the time to cook. Also, there's an option for unlimited rice.

Am I going to dine here again?
With the recent experience, maybe.

What's In My Bag to Disneyland

Planning your go-to must have's while in Disneyland is very important. You want to make sure that everything is perfect and there is no single detail forgotten or you might end up regretting.

So here's a what's in my bag tag in Disneyland post to give you girls some tips on what to bring when in Disneyland.

To start with, I am using my Sophie Martin Bag shoulder bag to Disneyland.
This bag has been with me for a while now and have survived through the years which was why I love Sophie bags.

So here's what's inside:

1. Scarf

You can use a scarf in many different ways. As for me, I use it to cover my head when it's hot or wrap around my shoulder when it's cold. And sometimes, I leave it hanging to cover my flabs. 😲

2. Passport and cash inside the Travelus Passport holder

When travelling abroad, you should always bring your passport with you and some cash with the currency of the country you are in. Not all stores accepts credit cards.

As for me, I brought HKD, MOP and USD with me during our trip.

3. 3-piece Cellphone Pouch
This is to keep my iPod, iPhone and Flip camcorder from each other.

4. CK Sunnies
To protect my eyes from the sun

5. Alcohol
For immediate sanitation of course

6. Baby Wipes
For emergency situations where you need to go to the rest room or need to clean something.

7. Monopod with remote
To take group pictures with the family

8. 2 piece USB cable (for Apple and Android) and my powerbank
In case my phone gets battery empty

9. Clinique compact mirror with brush
An all-in-one brush with mirror.  It's very handy and light to carry.

10. Flip Video Camcorder
To take memories for the shows and the fireworks at night

11. Maybelline Lip Gloss
To keep my lips hydrated

12. Revlon Lipstick
For quick touch-ups for my lips

So that's pretty much it. And oh you might want to bring a bottled water with you. It can get very hot after lunch and you might want to keep your body hydrated as much as possible.

The Good Fellas Pizza

Today the team went for pizza instead of the usual rice meal for lunch. We went to try the Good Fellas Pizza House located at the 2nd floor of Sweet Leaf at Pabayo Street, CDO.

The place looked cozy and is perfect for group of friends who would like to chitchat for a few hours. Luckily, the place was empty when we came in so we have all the place to ourselves. And with that, we took selfies all over the place like we own it!

These are the pizzas that Good Fellas has to offer.

Boo and I got the Joe Piney since Big Joe was out of stock. We also tried the Jojo Potato.

For the drinks, we ordered milk teas from Sweet Leaf at the ground floor. They can bring your drinks inside the pizza house so you don't need to wait inside the tea house.

Here are more pictures:

So here's my review:
The Taste
I'd give 6/10 for the taste. It tastes like any regular pizza for me.

Value for Money
Php200 for a double-sized pizza is affordable when you dine in a cozy place such as Good Fellas. But really for a pizza lover like me, double sized pizza is just good for one person.

Will I dine here again?
Possibly 2/10. Aside from the fact that it will be difficult for us to find a parking space on that area makes it not our preference for a pizza place.

Travel: Packing your Toiletries

Preparing toiletries is one of my favorites when packing for my trip. I enjoy putting up all my essentials in small containers knowing that I can bring everything I need packed in small bottles.

Among all the things that one must pack, toiletries are also very important on the hygienic side. Well you can always buy your toiletries once you arrive to your destination or just use the complimentary ones from your hotel. For backpackers like me, I always think that it is cost saving and is very convenient if I bring my own toiletries with me during my travel. I find it very useful on emergencies, an overnight stay and even during car trouble and you need to temporarily stay on your friends house.

So let me share my perfect set of toiletries when I'm out on travel. I usually travel light and these kit works well for me. I have 3 compact sets that I'll be describing later on. These are what I usually bring with me when I travel. I've tried a lot of travel kits before but these ones are my favorite.

To start, the main toiletry pouch is this purple toiletry kit that I got from SM a few years back. It has a detachable pouch were I put all of the remaining stuff that won't fit on the main pouch. One thing I liked about this is that it fits easily on my luggage and won't take much space. It's space efficient and very compact and convenient to bring.

Here's how it looks when I have all the bottles in place.

As for the small containers, I made use of my Human Nature (HN) sample size bottles to fill my bathroom essentials.  You can always use any other bottles but what I like about the HN bottles is that I don't need to label them anymore and they are of the same height and size so they fit perfectly inside the kit.

This one contains my Dove Body Wash.

I use these two bottles from HN and refill them with my favorite shampoo and conditioner everytime I travel.

This is the small version of my facial wash from HN.

This as well is a smaller version of my HN feminine wash in Powder Coral.

I'm reusing this lotion bottle (still from HN) and refill them with my favorite lotion.

This is a smaller version of the Sunflower oil. And what I did was I bought a small pump bottle and remove the sticker from my old Sunflower oil bottle and stick it on the small one.

My mom-in-law gave me this sample bottle which I refilled with the same Cetaphil cleanser after using all the contents.

My deo spray from One Earth Organics is on this small spray bottle.

I placed the cotton pads and cotton buds on these small boxes I got from Gaisano.

Here's what's inside the detachable pouch - nail cutter, dental floss, small toothpaste and a lens compact kit.

I got this kit from Japan Home a few years back. I refill the lens container with my day and night face moisturizer and labeled them on the bottom as D and N respectively. For the solution bottle, I filled it with my face toner.

Now on to the 3rd pouch - the brown polka dotty pouch. This one contains all my make-up. I don't really wear a lot of makeup when travelling - just the basic ones will do.

- Clinique Parfum on the gray atomizer
- Clinique Lipstick
- Clinique CC cream
- Clinique Eyeshadow
- Clinique Mascara
- VS Eyeliner
- VS Lipliner
- Etude Eyebrow Brush
- VS Cologne
- Everbilena Eyelash Curler
- Tweasers

All these in one tiny pouch. Isn't it amazing?

So that's it for my Toiletry Essentials. I hope somehow this blog post have given you an idea on how to pack your toiletries efficiently.

Until my next post. Ciao!
