Make Your Own Havaianas 2015 #MYOHCDO2015

It's that time of the year again when havaianaticos gets the chance to design their own havaianas slippers. MYOH2015  marks the 10th year of MYOH or also known as Make Your Own Havaianas.

This is my 3rd time to join the said event and here were the designs I made prior to the event:

Since we already had designs, we were treated like a VIP and were directed to the express lane when we arrived at the All Flip-flops store in SM Cagayan de Oro last May 7.

Unfortunately, the sole I've been eyeing on was not available on a Top sole so I opted for the Slim version this time with rose gold straps and three cute pins.
Now I'm a happy girl!

Here's Claire assembling my new pair:

And Jamil assembling Boo's slippers:

For the past 2 years, I always go for choosing a colorful combination of soles, straps and pins over their commemorative pair. I love the idea that I can mix and match every year.

A closer look to our pairs:

Our obligatory #myoh2015selfie

The slippers come along with a knitted beach bag.

Here's my MYOH slippers from 2013-2015.

Here's a link to my MYOH2013 and MYOH2014.

Until the next MYOH event!

What's In My Bag to Disneyland

Planning your go-to must have's while in Disneyland is very important. You want to make sure that everything is perfect and there is no single detail forgotten or you might end up regretting.

So here's a what's in my bag tag in Disneyland post to give you girls some tips on what to bring when in Disneyland.

To start with, I am using my Sophie Martin Bag shoulder bag to Disneyland.
This bag has been with me for a while now and have survived through the years which was why I love Sophie bags.

So here's what's inside:

1. Scarf

You can use a scarf in many different ways. As for me, I use it to cover my head when it's hot or wrap around my shoulder when it's cold. And sometimes, I leave it hanging to cover my flabs. 😲

2. Passport and cash inside the Travelus Passport holder

When travelling abroad, you should always bring your passport with you and some cash with the currency of the country you are in. Not all stores accepts credit cards.

As for me, I brought HKD, MOP and USD with me during our trip.

3. 3-piece Cellphone Pouch
This is to keep my iPod, iPhone and Flip camcorder from each other.

4. CK Sunnies
To protect my eyes from the sun

5. Alcohol
For immediate sanitation of course

6. Baby Wipes
For emergency situations where you need to go to the rest room or need to clean something.

7. Monopod with remote
To take group pictures with the family

8. 2 piece USB cable (for Apple and Android) and my powerbank
In case my phone gets battery empty

9. Clinique compact mirror with brush
An all-in-one brush with mirror.  It's very handy and light to carry.

10. Flip Video Camcorder
To take memories for the shows and the fireworks at night

11. Maybelline Lip Gloss
To keep my lips hydrated

12. Revlon Lipstick
For quick touch-ups for my lips

So that's pretty much it. And oh you might want to bring a bottled water with you. It can get very hot after lunch and you might want to keep your body hydrated as much as possible.

Travel: Packing your Toiletries

Preparing toiletries is one of my favorites when packing for my trip. I enjoy putting up all my essentials in small containers knowing that I can bring everything I need packed in small bottles.

Among all the things that one must pack, toiletries are also very important on the hygienic side. Well you can always buy your toiletries once you arrive to your destination or just use the complimentary ones from your hotel. For backpackers like me, I always think that it is cost saving and is very convenient if I bring my own toiletries with me during my travel. I find it very useful on emergencies, an overnight stay and even during car trouble and you need to temporarily stay on your friends house.

So let me share my perfect set of toiletries when I'm out on travel. I usually travel light and these kit works well for me. I have 3 compact sets that I'll be describing later on. These are what I usually bring with me when I travel. I've tried a lot of travel kits before but these ones are my favorite.

To start, the main toiletry pouch is this purple toiletry kit that I got from SM a few years back. It has a detachable pouch were I put all of the remaining stuff that won't fit on the main pouch. One thing I liked about this is that it fits easily on my luggage and won't take much space. It's space efficient and very compact and convenient to bring.

Here's how it looks when I have all the bottles in place.

As for the small containers, I made use of my Human Nature (HN) sample size bottles to fill my bathroom essentials.  You can always use any other bottles but what I like about the HN bottles is that I don't need to label them anymore and they are of the same height and size so they fit perfectly inside the kit.

This one contains my Dove Body Wash.

I use these two bottles from HN and refill them with my favorite shampoo and conditioner everytime I travel.

This is the small version of my facial wash from HN.

This as well is a smaller version of my HN feminine wash in Powder Coral.

I'm reusing this lotion bottle (still from HN) and refill them with my favorite lotion.

This is a smaller version of the Sunflower oil. And what I did was I bought a small pump bottle and remove the sticker from my old Sunflower oil bottle and stick it on the small one.

My mom-in-law gave me this sample bottle which I refilled with the same Cetaphil cleanser after using all the contents.

My deo spray from One Earth Organics is on this small spray bottle.

I placed the cotton pads and cotton buds on these small boxes I got from Gaisano.

Here's what's inside the detachable pouch - nail cutter, dental floss, small toothpaste and a lens compact kit.

I got this kit from Japan Home a few years back. I refill the lens container with my day and night face moisturizer and labeled them on the bottom as D and N respectively. For the solution bottle, I filled it with my face toner.

Now on to the 3rd pouch - the brown polka dotty pouch. This one contains all my make-up. I don't really wear a lot of makeup when travelling - just the basic ones will do.

- Clinique Parfum on the gray atomizer
- Clinique Lipstick
- Clinique CC cream
- Clinique Eyeshadow
- Clinique Mascara
- VS Eyeliner
- VS Lipliner
- Etude Eyebrow Brush
- VS Cologne
- Everbilena Eyelash Curler
- Tweasers

All these in one tiny pouch. Isn't it amazing?

So that's it for my Toiletry Essentials. I hope somehow this blog post have given you an idea on how to pack your toiletries efficiently.

Until my next post. Ciao!

Xoxo,
Lheyvens <3

Make Your Own Havaianas 2014 #myohcdo2014

Another year has come for another MYOH event in the city. This year marks its 7th MYOH event and it has been a yearly tradition for all havaianaticos like me. This is still my 2nd year of joining the event and I'm looking forward to joining again next year. This year's theme takes us to Mardigra in Brazil. Here's the link to my MYOHCDO2013 last year.

For those who don't know what MYOH means, it simply means Make Your Own Havaianas. This event gives you the chance to use your creativity in creating your own havaianas slipper by mixing and matching colorful soles, straps and pins. For those who want to be on the safe side, you can go for their commemorative pair which is by the way a limited edition. It is only sold on every MYOH event and it comes with different designs each year.

Fitflops

I've been using fitflops for like 4 years now and it has always given my feet the comfort it needs from walking. It is true that this sandals gives you a workout while you walk. It shapes your legs and ease your legs from being tired of walking. It is good for men and women who has athritis.

I've worn my Fitflops during my travels that needs a lot of walking and it has never failed to protect my heel from aching.

My very first Fitflops was Pietra but I had to sell it so I can buy a new one since I was on a tight budget.

Next, my hubby gave me Electra in Bronze as a Christmas gift. He got it on its normal price of Php3400 but a few months after that they had it on sale for Php2400.
